Calculators – So how much can I borrow?

Max Mortgages have provided some basic calculators to help with the various aspects of buying your property.  All lenders have differing criteria and one of our mortgage advisors will be able to guide you to what is your realistic borrowing capacity and provide you with a borrowing certificate, without undertaking any credit checks.  Factors such as income, deductions, age, dependants, other commitments, VISA status and type of property are just some of the factors to be borne in mind.  All applications are subject to a full affordability assessment and underwriting.   And types of mortgages out there? – Click Here

Affordability Calculator

This gives you an estimate as each lender and your circumstances will determine the actual amount you can get which may be lower or higher.  When we produce a decision in principle for you, we will manually determine your realistic maximum lending amount rather than a generic figure

Buy to Let Calculator

Different lenders apply differing stress tests.  They also have different criteria such as whether you have background income, whether you are currently an owner occupier and so on.  Again given the options available based on your needs and circumstances, a qualified mortgage advisor will help provide a more realistic lending figure which maybe lower or higher than indicated

Repayment Calculator

Many people are interested to see what the monthly payment will be.  This is a estimate of what that cost may be to help you budget for the purchase

Stamp Duty Calculator

This calculator is aimed to give the stamp duty cost for your purchase.  As you may be aware there is a 3% stamp duty surcharge in certain situations.  It effectively applies to you if you already have the use of a main home even if for example it is owned by your spouse, like wise a first time buyer looking to buy an investment property will not need to pay this.  Again we will advise accordingly and help ensure your purchase is correctly set up

Contractor Day Rate

This calculator is aimed to give an example of what you may be able to borrow based on your day rate.  The actual amount will depend on your individual circumstances and may be lower than indicated.  When we produce a decision in principle for you, we will manually determine your realistic maximum lending amount rather than a generic figure
